Merida Events for June
This month starts out with a bang with a concert by the famous singer, Gloria Trevi. According to Wikipedia, Trevi "was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, Gloria Trevi left Monterrey at the age of twelve to pursue a career in Mexico City, where she met her future manager, Sergio Andrade. She had earlier sung and danced on the streets for spare change, taught aerobics, and served quesadillas at a food stand." She now lives in Texas, and this year she just received the BMI President's Award for her impact on the world of Latin pop music. She'll be singing at the Coliseo Yucatan!
And this month, Merida also has a wine tasting event through the Merida English Library, a Speedcubing event, two programs by our fabulous Yucatan Symphony Orchestra and much more...
P.S. Just a quick note about process. We publish these events listing at the beginning of each month. As the event passes, it drops out of this particular page (this article). But all events are resident in our Calendar of Events, which is available at anytime and linked from the top left of every page on the website. As soon as we know about an event, it's up in the Calendar of Events. These monthly listings are just a way for us to highlight events each month. If you have any questions, be sure to contact us through our Facebook page or via email to info@yucatanliving.com. Thanks!
