We went to cafe Almeda the other day. Some of the food was good, some not so memorable, but they definitely got the hint about the menus and now have them in English and Spanish. The service was totally fine.

My husband and i have been to this restaurant both times we were in Merida, and both times it was pretty awful. The only reason we went the second time is because i had forgotten how bad it was the first time and my husband was humoring me.Tthe food here is some really crappy Yucatecan version of Lebanese food, any middle easterner would be horrified. Don't waste your time or money at this place.

sounds like a real winner. Can't sit where you want to and no explanation of menu....are they setting out to fail or what?
