La Encuesta de Preferencias de los Lectores de Yucatan Living ofrece a la comunidad expatriada la oportunidad de expresar sus preferencias por comerciantes y proveedores de servicios locales en Mérida y Yucatán.
Las encuestas de preferencia están abiertas para votar hasta el fin de año. Los lectores pueden votar en cualquiera de las encuestas que les interesen, votando por los nominados designados o recomendando un nominado propio durante la primera semana de apertura de la encuesta.
Después de que cierren las encuestas, se producirán y entregarán premios especiales a los ganadores en algún momento de enero. Esperamos que los ganadores exhiban con orgullo sus premios, sabiendo que han brindado un servicio excepcional a la comunidad.
Mejor Agencia Inmobiliaria en Mérida
Si vives aquí en Yucatán, es muy probable que una de las primeras cosas que tuviste que hacer fue comprar o rentar una casa. Mientras algunos de nosotros fuimos lo suficientemente astutos o hablamos español lo suficientemente bien para trato directo con los vendedores o arrendadores, muchos pasamos nuestros primeros días aquí con la ayuda de un agente inmobiliario.
Por favor, considera muchas cosas al votar por la mejor agencia inmobiliaria. Naturalmente, la mejor agencia debe contratar y emplear agentes conocedores. Deben conocer el territorio y el negocio. Deben tratar bien a los clientes, con paciencia y respeto. Deben tener integridad (definida libremente como hacer lo que dicen que van a hacer). Deben ser agradables para trabajar, y después de concretar el trato, los recomendarías a familia y amigos.
Creemos que no se puede juzgar a un agente inmobiliario por cuánto tiempo tarda en comprar o vender una casa, por ejemplo. Ni por si el vendedor o comprador tuvo integridad. O si estás satisfecho con la casa una vez que te mudas. A veces, fuerzas de la naturaleza (o fuerzas de México) crean caos para los mejores profesionales.
Abrimos esta encuesta nominando a las cinco agencias inmobiliarias más grandes y populares utilizadas por gringos y otros expatriados que se mudan a Mérida y al Estado de Yucatán. Esta ciertamente no es una lista exhaustiva.
Aquí, en orden alfabético, están los nominados iniciales:
Casa Blanca Real Estate – Operada por Jorge Cáceres, un yucateco de nacimiento que vivió y trabajó por años en Estados Unidos, esta agencia ha existido más tiempo que cualquier otra en nuestra lista inicial. Ubicada en Calle 55 con Calle 66.
Mayan Living – Establecida por Jim Mann, un expatriado que ha trabajado y vendido bienes raíces aquí por cerca de cinco años.
Mexico International – Fundada por Mitch Keenan, el primer extranjero en establecer una agencia inmobiliaria en Mérida. Su equipo de agentes opera desde sus oficinas en el edificio Fiesta Americana, junto al restaurante Sanborn’s.
Real Estate Yucatán – El equipo matrimonial de Gabriela Isaac y Alec Stephens dirige esta agencia. Gabriela es yucateca y Alec es de Ciudad de México, pero vivió y trabajó muchos años en Estados Unidos.
Tierra Yucatán – Esta agencia está dirigida por Jennifer Lytle y su socio enérgico, David Palomo. Jen ha viajado y vivido en México por más de 30 años desde su antigua casa en San Antonio, Texas. El equipo de Jennifer trabaja desde su oficina colonial renovada en Calle 66, en el centro histórico de Mérida.

I just bought a house in Merida through Eric Partney of Mexico International. It was my first trip to Mexico and Merida. I sent him an email as to what I was interested in and a few properties I was interested in. He took me to 5 properties and was very knowledgable about each property we visited. I first heard about him when I saw him on the HGTV show Househunters International. He made the buying process very easy and explained everything to me. After he showed me the properties he told me to give him a call if I decided to buy one, I told him I had already decided on one of the houses and wanted to make an offer. He was at my hotel the same day with the paperwork, the next day he came back with the signed document from the seller at my hotel. He negotiated a great deal for me. I told him I would not be in Mexico for the closing so he took me to a lawyer for a power of attorney to close for me. Eric didn't pressure me into buying a property and was very friendly towards me. The bank trust he arranged was almost half what I expected to pay and he told me about prepaying electric and water bills. The property I bought was not an expensive property, but Eric treated me like I was buying an expensive one. Merida and the people there impressed me so much I bought a property there after being there for a few days. If I decide to sell my home in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. I will without a doubt contact Eric again to purchase a full-time home in Merida.

Well my vote goes to a smaller company but well founded “Mayanrealty.net†their handling was exceptional they truly got me a beachfront bargain just when I thought that was impossible Jorge Mazun is an expert in beach properties and they have the best selection when it comes to that topic trust me I have look into others sites and I was not encouraged with their variety

Yes Jim Mann @ Mayan Living is indeed one of the best realtors I've had the pleasure of dealing with, but if it wasn't for Mike Riniolo who gave me outstanding service and took a few day's of his busy schedule to show me homes I wanted to see and home he wanted me to see in the city and outside the city as well. He took me to the lawyers and everywhere I needed to go, never complaining. Yes I feel Mike is the man and deserves this recognition.

I am very active in the Merida real estate market and have dealt with all of the major brokers. The competition is fierce and there are some that I would rather not deal with but overall the level of professionalism is high. My vote goes to Tierra Yucatan and in particular Jen Lytle and Tim Rhodes because of their honesty and strong work ethic.
