Notes: This restaurant is a favorite of local expatriates... and it became a favorite almost overnight. The food is delicious... you can have a meal just from appetizers and you won't be unsatisfied. Or you can try the more generous entrees. We enjoyed a yummy beef carpaccio, a chicken and pasta dish and tacos... all different, all really great. Sitting outdoors here is lovely... you are far enough away from the street that you aren't bothered by the noise or exhaust, but you still get to enjoy the outdoor ambiance. Inside, the decor is interesting, with low lighting... but most people seem to prefer to be outdoors. Don't miss going to the bathroom while you are there to see their innovative sink treatment!

My son and I dined here while in Merida last month. It was absolutely delicious, great service and we were able to enjoy the Serenata Yucateca just after eating. I went with the waiter's recommendations -- a roast pork dish with an excellent sauce and baby potatoes and I had a mescal mixed drink that was fantastic. We look forward to dining at Apoala again soon.

No, no validations. Not that we heard of, anyway.

I agree with everyone who's excited about Apoala, but you mention parking isn't free. Fine, but do they validate your ticket? Just wondering.

One of the best up-and-coming dining locals in Mérida. Quality seems to be higher on weekends or whenever Chef Sara is on site! The arrachera steak and the pesca del día are two of my favorite options.
