September is all about being back to school and back to work after vacations. Traditionally, September is a slow month in Merida for that reason... there are few visitors, residents are focused on their children and their jobs and by the way, hurricane season is not over. For that reason, it has always been one of our favorite months in Merida, because it is quiet. (Except, of course, for Mexican Independence Day on the 15th!) If you run a business that is related to tourism in Merida, September is NOT one of your favorite months... but all that is forgotten when travelers and snowbirds start returning in October.

Here are the events we think you might be interested in this month. Keep checking back, as we are always adding more!
