Merci: Loving Dog Looking for a Loving Home
We found Merci three weeks ago in the car park of a restaurant called Merci, hence her name. It is rather fitting that it means Gracias in French. Merci was very frightened and very very thin, all curled over with fear and starvation. Luckily we had some dog food and managed to persuade her to come in the car with us. What trust! Within a couple of hours having bought her a collar and given her some food, it was like watering a flower. The photo I took of her that evening shows her tail wagging so fast, it hardly shows in the photo!
She is about 1.5-2 years old, been checked over by the vet, about to be sterilized on Thanksgiving Day and then vaccinated. She is remarkably healthy for a dog who has lived her life on the streets. She is very smart, already house-trained (with the occasional lapse), very loving and so sweet. And a lot healthier looking than when we found her.
Sadly, we live in London, UK and cannot take keep her when we leave on 7 December so we are looking for a foster or forever home for her. Please contact Jane Galton at firstname.lastname@example.org or 999-918-4648.
You will fall in love with her as we have.
